It’s a Matter of Choice!
Every funeral home advertises “cremation services” but don’t be fooled! Not all crematories are equal!
Important Questions to Ask:
Who Owns the Crematory?
While many funeral homes actually subcontract this important service to a third party crematory, most leading funeral homes have an in-house private crematory facility for your peace-of-mind. You can be assured that every detail is handled with the highest standards of care by their professional staff.
Where is the Crematory Located?
This is very important to know. An in-house private crematory assures that your loved one stays under professional care and responsibility at all times and has not been transferred to some multi-user crematory, sometimes in another county. “Chain of Custody” is vitally important in regards to cremation.
Can We Inspect the Crematory?
Most cremation providers do not want you to visit their crematory because they are typically in warehouses in industrial districts. We encourage you to ask if you can visit the funeral home’s Cremation Tribute Center.
